389 athletes won medals at Nagano. The oldest was Canadian curler Paul Savage, the alternate of the Canadian men's team who won the Silver medal. He was 50 years old. The youngest was 15-year old US figure skater Tara Lipinski who won the Gold medal in the women's event.
